Hi ladies,

As many of the long-term users of this group know, not every person who posts here is a legitimate "teen mom."

Some people are playing an elaborate game of pretend. Some people have watched too many television shows and think that being pregnant and under the age of 18 is glamorous or makes them special. Some people like drama, love a reaction, and are posting purely for the attention.

And then there are people who are actually pregnant, really and truly under the age of 18, and who deserve to have a caring and lively group that is available for feedback and support.

If you suspect another user is a "faker," a "troll," or is somehow posting in a duplicitous way to confuse or mislead the community, please let the staff of Alt12 Apps know by taking the time to write to abuse@alt12.com with your concerns. If you think the other person has stolen a photo, give the link in your email - do not post it to the group.

Moderators and community staff have the ability to access information that is not available to our regular community members. They also have the power to immediately and permanently block any person they believe is a detriment to the community.

Writing to support is a much more effective way of dealing with the problem than shouting "faker" or "troll" at the other person. If someone is truly faking, it is usually for the attention. Giving them the role of "victim" to play only makes the problem worse.

There is an old saying on the internet: Don't feed the trolls. I will add to that advice with this: Don't teach a troll a new trick.

If you do a shoutout to shame someone and present all the evidence you have for trickery publicly, the troll (if it has any sense at all,) will immediately do what she can to cover up the mistake.

Please do your part in keeping this group an honest and supportive place to be. If you are truly a teen mom, you do not need anymore drama in your life. You have more than your share at home.

If you come across a user who you believe is being less than truthful in her posts or who is posting in a way that does not seem to make sense, please do not engage in a war of words or "call-out" the member on the forums. Doing so will only result in your own posting account being infracted and/or blocked. Please email abuse@alt12.com with the user's name and your concerns, and the account will be investigated.

The topics of removed posts, blocked accounts, and infractions are considered private dialogue between Alt12 Apps and the original author. Posts on these subjects will be removed.

The young women in this forum who are currently pregnant are going through a very important stage of their lives, please respect and support them by posting appropriately. As a teen mom, you will have many challenges ahead of you. Take the opportunity in this forum to be your best self. It will only serve you well in the future.
