Baby hard time pooping ??

So doctor says its normal that if baby doesn't go for a couple days. But my son has a hard time just going. He gruts, crys, screams until it comes out. He being only brestfeed . Any one else is baby doing this and how have you help relive him? I feel so bad he looks like he in a pain

Are you giving him vitamin D? Check to see if it has iron in it that could be the problem. My doctor recommended polyvisol because it doesn't have iron.

Same with mine- only at night though. Not sure why. I looked up infant massage on YouTube and that has been helping a lot!!

mines pushes a lot and groans I feel likr he's hurting at times when he's popping but he doesn't cry he kit stretches his legs and hid face gets a bit red lines is taking vitamin d I hope that'd not making him constipated

No. The baby is supposed to be taking vitamin D. Unless your doctor didn't recommend it for you. I ebf too and my doctor says that the baby still needs vitamin D so he said to buy some.

They sell vitamin D drops on amazon for $6. I bought the vitacost baby D drops. Just put one drop on ur nipple when ur feeding ur lo.

My baby is bottle fed formula and breastmilk, she really strains to poo and cores sometimes, this has been for over a week now and she is 3 weeks old - it's uncomfortable to watch, she poos very soft stools every day but is awkward to get out??

my lo is 3 wks old im im bf an giving about 2 formula bottles a day an for the last wk or soo my lil boy has been grunting an turning beat red tries to poop an does go i give him gas drops an gripe water...more gas drops lately then gripe water.. i think gas drops help relieve sum pain... i try to only do breast feeding thinking that would help but there r times when i dont hv enough time or milk n me to pump an tyhen we hv to lv an he is n carseat an needs formula.. im glad to kno other babys around haydens age (3wks ) r goin thru same thing..sounds prettu normal..an i was worried an feeling responsible....
