TMI! Fishy smell after c-section?!?!?!?

I know this is gross and I'm really embarrass to even ask but I have to. Has anyone had a c-section and had like a fishy vaginal smell?? And if so do you know why?!?!?!?
I know it's not coming from my incision and I also checked it and it's not red or anything. My incision looks fine actually...

I didn't have a c section but I remember having an odd odor from the discharge after baby. It's called locha or something like that....it goes away

I had a c-section and never had a fishy smell. But, I would guess its normal.

Sounds like bacterial vaginosis. There is an OTC homeopathic remedy at the pharmacy.

I actually think it's called BV Treatment. I've seen it with the yeast infection meds on the lower shelves.

Wait is the treatment even safe to use??? It looks like you have to insert it in the vagina and dr said nothing inside the vagina for 6 weeks.

i'd call your dr. They can check for bv and give you antibiotics. It can be really irritating and reoccurs often. GL!

I had this as well and the doc said it was normal. The " leftovers" inside the vagina is dying tissue . The lochia(bleeding) is what helps shed the "leftovers" . Yucky but normal.

It's def a different smell from a regular period but does not smell fishy. Call your doc sounds like an infection.

definitely consult your doctor. better to be safe than sorry. I wouldn't treat myself at all until the doctor recommends something.

I didn't realize it was that soon since your c-sec. If your dr said 6 wks I'd wait and get his advice.
