I have no idea why i havent heard of this before! But just googled it and apparently it works! Boiling hot water with cinnamon sticks and drinking to bring on labour. Has anyone tried this? And had it work??

Not sure if it's true. I had never heard this but I have been drinking this throughout my pregnancy and had no problems. I've been drinking cinnamon water with honey for years but I have never heard of it inducing labor. I am 32 weeks and have had a couple cups over the last week or so. I'll look into it more now.

They say it only works with actual cinnamon sticks and hot water. Alot say to add nutmeg and cloves, so i just went and bought the lot! Gonna give it a try at least :)

My MIL made a *very* strong tea out of cinnamon, clove and other spices for me and called it "baby tea" ... But it was for after the baby was born (I'm 3w post) and supposedly helps with milk production. Never heard of cinnamon tea inducing labor.

Well my mom told me back in the days they used to drink hot chocolate with nutmeg and cinnamon when they starting having the real contractions this give energy to the baby so it helps to come out Easily My mother did for me and she told me it was such a great tip cause she had such a easy labor so I already got everything to make my hot chocolate on my day!

Yeah its not the cinnamon water or powder, its apparently meant to be the pure cinnamon sticks and hot water :) i had some earlier, dont know if its a coincidence or not but been having contractions 8 mins apart since. No pain though :-/

I had my baby is February and I drank cinnamon tea, I was in early labor though, and it made my contractions get very strong by the end of the night but I didnt have her until the day. So not sure if it really did anything

Starting 4 days before I did lots of exercise ball exercises (swaying my hips, bouncing) while I watched tv, the day before labor started I ate a ton of jalapeƱo poppers and other spice foods, power squats and lots of walking. I went into labor at 3am the next morning :)

I hope y experience helps you a little!

I had never heard of cinnamon sticks, but of clove tea yes, my mom actually drank that cause she was a week past her due date with my younger sister and she went into labor the very next morning. ;)
