We have chose to soely bottle feed instead of breast feed. And are 100% sure & comfortable with our decision. However, I feel like purposely choosing bottle over breast is looked down uppon. I realize that breast milk has a few things that formula doesn't. There are pros & cons to both sides. It's a personal choice. I don't force why I feel bottle is better, I know that for some bottle is best choice & others, breast is best choice. And my best choice may very likely not be theirs, I wish everyone would view it that way. I also haven't seen alot, if any posts on soley bottle feeding so I figured I'd start one!!! This is for anybody who wants to talk about anything bottle feeding related :D

Well just wanted to say that I'm soo glad to see all you happy mommies and their adorable growing babies! My 2nd son was born September 6, 2010 weighing 6 lbs 14 oz healthy beautiful baby boy but unfortunately was only with me for a short 3wks he has become a angel! He entered heaven September 27, 2010!!! I miss him with all my heart! Love you baby Dominic! <3

DD was born on 9/10, and already my home is full of decorations and things for her first birthday! The theme we chose was the silhouette of Minnie Mouse and cheetah print with highlights of pink. I have a HUGE family, and DF has a HUGE family so we rented a place to have the party and we're excited!

It drives me crazy when people post stuff like this so....I can't believe I'm actually gonna type this out but here is my rant....
I've been on babybump since I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, I'm now 17.4 weeks. I think it's very informative and I love reading stories about other pregnant ladies and what they are experiencing. For some reason the Rant and Rave section is my favorite but I try to stay out of the drama... But there are some posts/ comments that drive me absolute BONKERS!
* Breastfeeding: I will breast feed if I am able to. If I can't, I won't and will not be completely heartbroken if I can't. There are a lot of women who can't or choose not to so they obviously formula feed. Formula is full of nutrients and what our babies need and it is not junkfood! Don't criticize those who don't....
*Working moms: I am going back to work 10-12 weeks after my baby boy is born. We could technically afford for me not to work but our lifestyles would change dramatically. Call me selfish but I want my family to have not only what we need but things we want as well. Don't call me or anyone else a bad mother because I actually enjoy my job and will be working.
*Government assistance: This is a biggie with me! There was recently a post about how people can afford iPhones and still be on government assistance. This IS peoples business when people are taking advantage of the system and are just lazy, living off the government which is supported by working individuals. People got so offended by this! I have a problem with people who don't work (by choice) and still have no problem getting assistance. This is NOT those of you who can not work due to being on bedrest, etc.
Some people take advantage and if you don't believe it you are living in a fairytale...
*Medication: I take phenagran for vomiting. After nothing natural working my doctor prescribed it for me. I work 12 shifts in a hospital and me nor my patients enjoy me running out during their exam to vomit.
*Eating and drinking: I partake in fast-food and caffeine.... In moderation of course! I talked to my PHYSICIAN about appropriate amounts of caffeine and follow those guidelines, not what the opinionated ladies on here say.
*Epidural: I'm getting one! No questions... Unless it's too late when I get the the hospital. End of story.
*Circumcision: My son WILL be circumcised!!! This is a personal decision for everyone and I respect everyones decision they make. The only reason for not doing so
that makes me giggle a little is "they are in so much pain." They forget the pain, and it doesn't last long. Just ask your hubby if he remembers his.... My reasoning for my little man being circumcised.... I met a 3 year old little boy, uncircumcised that was septic because of untreated UTI's, he had a very rough recovery and spent several days in the hospital. His UTI's were caused from not being circumcised. FYI his parents kept him very clean. Plus my husband is and therefore so will my little boy.
*Vaccinations: My child will be vaccinated! There is a reason they are around! Being in the medical field I see a lot of crazy things and if I can prevent my child from getting a disease you better believe I will!
Hmmm I think that's it! :) My point is I am not and will not be a bad mother because I do these things and neither are you ladies!! I will provide for my child, keep my child safe, and love him! I do not drink or smoke and I do not live an unhealthy lifestyle. I will be a wonderful mom even if I can't breastfeed, am not a stay at home mom, have him circumcised, and vaccinated.

We don't have the most spectacular relationship, at all. I found out I was pregnant Dec '10 & miscarried the very next day. His response to that was "Its probably a good thing" blah blah blah. That was extremely hurtful. Here I am a week away from being 21, 13w3d pregnant & he is pretty much the only "close" family member that doesn't know I'm pregnant. Today is his birthday & I figured it'd be just as good of a day to to tell him as any other. I called him, he "shady buttoned" me. WTF? Awesome dad, happy birthday you flaming jerk!

I think it is funny, funny-sad, that when women post on here about themselves they have to add all these disclaimers, ie, I drank a cup of coffee BUT I used to drink 18 a day but now I only drink one OR I am not breastfeeding BECAUSE I lost my nipples in a freak plastic surgery mishap OR I smoke one cigarette a week BUT I used to smoke 3 packs a day, etc. These disclaimers have to be used bc they don't want to be judged. Well, stand up with me ladies and be proud and don't excuse your behavior. I proudly admit that I drank one or two caffeinated sodas a day while pregnant and I ate cold Subway sandwiches weekly because I LIKE them!! And best of all I am EFF my son because I WANTED to, no excuse beyond that. And he is asleep in my arms happy, fat and healthy. Don't be scared ladies join me!!
