How does it look when you're standing? Just looks a little swollen and bunched up right now.

It looks okay to me but if you see any sign of possible infection call your doctor. I say this because it does look swollen but I do not see redness. You will experience nerve issues for a while. I still have no feeling there.

I hope you get to feeling better and possibly get something prescribed to you stronger for pain. Congrats on your new baby!

There actually is redness on the right side going down more towards labia. Midwife changed dressing and washed it an told me to take dressing off when I'm home and to keep my eye on it, this is all new to me I don't know what's normal but this certainly doesn't seem normal to me keep getting electic shock like feelings through it

Mine never looked like that but give it some time it will heal properly. My doctor told me to do a lot of walking it makes the healing process better.

I can't walk very far as it starts the shocks down my legs and feels like stitches are pulling so I just stop when my body tells me to

Looks normal. Unfortunately, I've had three and they always look that way at first. Your nerve endings will burn and sting at certain times until they're healed properly. It will look better in a few days! Happy recovering and congrats on baby!

With time, the scar will get smaller and less noticeable! I have been there twice too!

I've never had a c-section, but I have had a laparotomy. It's in the same place and 4 to 5 inch incision. The wound always looks a little wonky in the beginning because the skin is bunched up and your belly is swollen. Eventually the pain will go away, give it at least a week. After mine healed it still feels numb from time to time where the scar is.

In six weeks or longer it will appear smaller dont stress the scar will get lighter also with my second c section the scar was bigger i had a less experienced doctor he was young but 4 years later it don't look bad at all but the little pouch upper stomach is harder to loose after a c section then after a natural birth

I hope it looks smaller :( there is no pouch and my stomach has gone already think with me Havjng such a small bump but the pain is still there as seems really long to me. She was right down stuck in my pelvis though so maybe that plays a part, feels much better this morning I have tried a post natal binder and it seems less painful! Thanks everyone

It looks normal and about average size. What's getting to me is that the cut doesn't look smooth. It looks very jagged. Maybe cause of the angle

Well I found out today the stitches have been pulled too tight at each end they are dissolvable ones and I am to expect a longer recovery time and a raised scar for longer! The cut through the middle has gone pretty straight now! Thanks for the help and info!
